This map displays all the archaeological sites that are being excavated nowadays, within an accuracy of 1 sq km. The General Map is divided into 7 clickable sub-sections that can also be reached by clicking on their name at the bottom of the map. Clicking on a sub-section will bring forth a zoom in of the selected area. Now it is possible to select a site and gain information about it, which includes a list of all the excavations performed at that site (the list can be printed). Clicking on a particular excavation will open a short text that describes the excavation and its finds, including photographs.
